75217: Christina MacLeod
Christina, otherwise Christy, was born in 1869, the daughter of Alexander MacLeod and Marion Morrison of 15 Ruisgarry (Trealigarry). She married Donald MacKillop and they made their home at Baile. Together they were to have seven children, the youngest born following Donald’s drowning in 1906.
Christy worked as a hand loom weaver for many years, although she was listed as blind by the time of the 1901 census. About 1925 she moved to 9 Backhill. She passed away in 1945 at 13 Ruisgarry (Sunhill), the home of her daughter Ann.
