74914: John Munro

John was born in 1856, the son of Donald Munro and Catherine Campbell of 19 Ruisgarry (Brusda) then 14 Ruisgarry (Trealigarry). John became a farmer, marrying Margaret MacAskill in 1889. Following the death of John’s uncle Lachlan Munro, the croft at 20 Ruisgarry (Brusda) was passed to John, and his eldest child Kate was born there in 1894. His wife Margaret died of consumption the following year

John remarried. His second wife was Christina MacDonald from 7 Claddach Kirkibost. Their daughter Peggy was born in 1897. John died of consumption two years later, the croft passing to his sister-in-law Margaret.
