72904: Effie MacLeod
Effie, born in 1875, was the daughter of Murdo MacLeod and Ann Munro, cottars on 1/2 Ruisgarry (Sandhill). Effie became a weaveress, and later a domestic servant, marrying John Morrison MacAskill in December 1894. With him, she had a family of six children, living as cottars on 17 Ruisgarry (Brusda), then in Glen House on 9 Ruisgarry (Gunhill). The family moved to Rhuvanish shortly before her death from tuberculosis in July 1908.
