72833: Marion MacKay

Marion MacKay was born in 1825, the daughter of crofter John MacKay and Mary MacDonald of 4 Obbe. She married Murdo MacLeod and they lived for a time in his family’s household at Borgh Mhor, Harris. Later they returned to his original home of Berneray, where they became cottars on 1/2 Ruisgarry (Sandhill). Together they had a family of eight children. Marion died a few weeks after the birth of the youngest child.
