72765: Donald MacAskill
Donald MacAskill was born in about 1829, the son of Angus MacAskill and Marion Ferguson of old Ruisgarry. His widowed mother became a cottar on 2 Ruisgarry (Sandhill) in 1850, before being removed to Brusda in 1854. Donald became a farm servant and married Mary Ferguson in 1857. The couple settled in South Uist, either at Bornish or near Loch Aineort.
