72541: Joan MacKinnon

Joan MacKinnon was born in 1841, the daughter of John MacKinnon and Margaret Martin of old Ruisgarry. She later lived on 2 Ruisgarry (Sandhill) where her widowed mother was a cottar. In 1854, Joan and her mother were removed to become cottars at Newton Farm, North Uist. Joan later married Roderick MacQueen of Scolpaig. They lived at Newton Farm, later moving to Griminish.
