72510: Catherine MacKinnon
Catherine MacKinnon was born in about 1831, the daughter of John MacKinnon and Margaret Martin of old Ruisgarry. In 1850 the family became cottars on 2 Ruisgarry (Sandhill).
Catherine’s son Angus was born in 1851. When her widowed mother was cleared from Sandhill in 1854 to become a cottar on Newton Farm in North Uist, Catherine and Angus went with her.
