71137: Donald Macleod
Donald (born 1848) was a son of Peter Macleod and his first wife, Ann Macleod, 4 Old Carnish and later 2 Old Mangersta. He moved with his family to 13 Doune Carloway in 1872.
In April 1878, he married his first wife Margaret Macaulay, 19 Brenish and they had one daughter. On 8th December 1885, in Brenish Schoolhouse, Donald married his second wife, Catherine Buchanan, 26 Brenish and they had seven children. They lived as cottars on 19 Brenish until Donald assumed tenancy of 7 Brenish.
