70866: Marion MacAskill
Marion was born in 1871, the daughter of John MacAskill and Marion MacAskill of 11/12 Ruisgarry (Quay).
She became a weaveress and domestic servant, marrying John MacAskill in 1907. They lived with his parents at 7/2 Ruisgarry, where their daughter was born. They also had a son who was born prematurely and died in infancy. Following her husband’s death from appendicitis in 1909 Marion and her daughter stayed at 7/2 Ruisgarry for a number of years, later moving to Quay.
