Mary Munro, born in 1873, was the youngest child of Malcolm Munro and Mary Campbell of 19 Ruisgarry (Brusda). Following their deaths she continued to live at 19 Ruisgarry with her brother John and their nephew and niece, for whom John acted as guardian.

Mary worked as a hand loom weaver, marrying widower Duncan MacAskill of 7 Ruisgarry (Lag a' Chealla) in 1913. They had no children and, following his death in 1924, she was passed tenancy of the croft. On her death it was passed to Mary's niece Mary Ann MacIsaac.
