Jemima Morrison was born in 1918, the eldest child of Reverend Norman Morrison and Annabella MacDonald. She spent part of her childhood at the Manse on 6a Ruisgarry, attending Berneray School from 1923 to 1927, with a six week interlude in Tain (during 1924).
She, with her parents, left Berneray for Farr, Sutherland in 1927 and in 1931 relocated to Baile na Cille Manse, Uig. When her father retired from his ministry, Jemima relocated with him to Aignish, Point.
