70575: John Dugald Gillies
Rev John Dugald Gillies, who preferred to sign himself simply as Dugald Gillies, was the son of farmer John Gillies and Janet MacKellar, of Kilmartin, Argyll, born in 1818.
He was minister of the Established Church of Berneray from 1878, also acting as interim registrar from 1892 until his death on 28th December 1894 at the age of 76.
