70305: Kenneth MacAskill
Kenneth MacAskill was born in about 1816, the youngest child of Donald MacAskill and Ann MacQueen of old Ruisgarry. He married Catherine MacLeod and they too made their home in old Ruisgarry. In 1850 Kenneth obtained 9 Ruisgarry (Gunhill) in the relotting of Ruisgarry, though the family moved to 11/12 Ruisgarry (Quay) in 1864.
He and Catherine had a family of seven children. Following Kenneth’s death from jaundice in 1875, the croft at Quay was passed to son John.
