70025: John MacKillop
John MacKillop was born in 1804, the son of Alexander MacKillop and Marion MacLeod of old Ruisgarry. He became a crofting tenant in old Ruisgarry like his father, and is listed as paying £5.10.0 annual rental in 1830.
John married Margaret Munro, with whom he had five children. He obtained 6 Ruisgarry (Beasdaire) in the 1850 relotting, to which his family moved. On his death in 1887, the croft was passed to his son Lachlan.
