700: Angus Macarthur
Angus Macarthur (1827-1903) was brought up in Bosta and later moved to Kirkibost after it was resettled in 1878. As he was a fluent English speaker, Angus was chosen as spokesperson for the Bernera Rioters when they went to meet Sir James Matheson at Lews castle.
