Angus MacLean

Angus was the son of John MacLean and Marion MacKillop of Quay. Born in 1910, he attended Berneray School between 1916 and 1925.

Angus was a fisherman and ship’s captain. He married Mary MacSween of 26 Scalpay. Together they were to have three children. They lived in Liverpool for a few years before returning to Berneray, living at 15 Ruisgarry (Trealigarry) for a while before moving to 30 Backhill. Later they lived at 9 Backhill. At various times Angus owned the Watchful, Industrious and Marita.
