Catherine (born 1828) was a daughter of Murdo Macleod and Janet Matheson, 13 Crowlista. She was married to John Macdonald, 14 Old Mangersta, where they lived before relocating to 5 Doune Carloway in 1872. They had seven children, one of whom, Margaret, died in infancy.
