Alexander, son of Donald Murray and Catherine Macaskill was a Church of Scotland minister in Beauly. He married Jessie, a Gaelic speaker and concert singer and had three daughters; Kay who married Mr Grigor and had three sons; Isabella who married Mr Simpson and had one son and one daughter and another daughter who died of TB after the First World War.
