67873: Elizabeth Gillies
Elizabeth (c1820-1891) was a daughter of John Gillies and Christina Maclennan of Uigen. In 1845 Elizabeth married her cousin John Gillies of Miavaig (Elizabeth and John’s fathers were brothers).
Elizabeth and John relocated to 38 North Shawbost where they had five children. After she was widowed in 1858, Elizabeth gave up the tenancy of 38 North Shawbost during the 1860s and became a cottar.
