67748: Malcolm MacLeod

Malcolm MacLeod was born in 1863, the son of John MacLeod and Marion Ferguson of 1/2 Ruisgarry (Sandhill).

Malcolm was eventually passed the croft from his father, and was, like him, a crofter and ground officer. He married Janet MacKay from Lochgilphead, with whom he was to have eleven children.

He is mentioned in two poems by Iain Archie MacAskill in the book An Ribheid ChiuilLitir gu caraid ann am Bearnaraidh 1929 and Freagairt Uisdean.

When he died, the croft was passed to his son Roderick.
