67530: Catherine MacLeod
Catherine was born in 1852, the daughter of Alexander MacLeod and Flora MacLeod of old Ruisgarry. The family moved to Grenitote in 1854, returning to Quay a few years later, living at a house described in the croft history as ‘house 7’.
Catherine became a domestic servant, marrying her cousin, widower Alexander MacKillop in 1884. They lived at his home at Quay (‘house 13’) with his children.
