67496: Duncan MacLeod

Duncan was born in about 1842, the son of Alexander MacLeod and Flora MacLeod of old Ruisgarry, then 2 Ruisgarry (Sandhill). The family moved to Grenitote in 1854, returning to Quay a few years later. Duncan became a fisherman like his father. However in 1865, he was drowned with his father, James MacCuish and Iain MacCusbic when the boat struck Lochran Dubh in the Sound of Harris and capsized in a storm.
