Catherine (born c1817) was a daughter of Donald Macleod and Catherine, 4 Carishader. She is probably the Catherine (daughter of Donald, Carishader) who was married in 1848 to John Maclean, Old Carnish; In 1851, they were enumerated in Carnish with a daughter born c1846 (two years before marriage). However in the same census her parents in Carishader have a grand-daughter, Christina Maclean (born c1849) living with them.
