Donald (1778-1870) was a son of Angus Macleod and Catherine Macritchie, 11 Mealista. He married Mary Mackay and they had eight children.
In 1837, when Mealista was cleared, they relocated to 15 Old Brenish and relocated to 16 Brenish when the village was relotted in 1849.
