Donald Matheson

Donald Matheson (1906-1990) was a son of Donald Matheson and Ann Nicolson, 27 Gravir.

He enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve, S/N A11675,  on April 7, 1924. His service record indicates that he was 5ft 7in tall with brown eyes and a dark complexion. Donald was a fisherman on Banff, Buckie and Stornoway registered fishing boats including the Roselea.

He served in the Royal Navy throughout the Second World War.

Donald was a bachelor and lived with his Uncle Murdo, Uncle Duncan and Aunt Mary at 11 Gravir. Latterly his two nephews, Donald John and Duncan lived with him at 11 Gravir.
