65744: Donald Mackay

Donald was born c1829 and was a son of Murdo Mackay and Flora Macarthur.

Donald and his family lived in Uigen, where his brothers, John and Angus, were registered for baptism. 

The family latterly lived in Reef. When Reef was cleared in the late 1840s, the family relocated to Brue, where they were enumerated in the census of 1851. However, they didn’t remain there and it is not known where they subsequently settled.
