Murdo (born c1852) was a son of Norman Macleod and Catherine Macleod, 2 Old Mangersta. In 1861, he moved with his family to 12 Old Mangersta and in 1872, when the village was cleared, to 1 Doune Carloway.
Murdo married Effie Macleod, 8 Kirvick and they resided in Stornoway.
