64995: Mary Mackay

Mary from 10 Swainbost was married to John Maciver, 12 Kneep. They relocated to 7 Ardroil when the village was relotted in the early 1920s. They had no family.

Mary’s family were cleared from Pennydonald before 1840. She was the only person connected to the cleared families who returned to live in Ardroil.

When she was a widow in Ardroil the roof of her house collapsed but she was rescued by her neighbours.
