64091: Kenneth Mackinnon
Kennneth Mackinnon (1889-1969) was son of Peggy Mackinnon, 6 Torostay.
On June 4, 1916 he enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve Service Number DA10943. His record indicates that he was 5ft 4in tall with hazel eyes and a pale complexion. Kenneth was immediately Mobilised and served in the Royal Navy in the First World War. Based at HMS Iolaire and aboard HMS Lily Melling, HMS Zaria and HMS Nairn. Kenneth was awarded £18.12/6d in Prize Money.
At Stornoway, in 1919, he married Margaret Kennedy, 15 Marvig. Kenneth and Margaret settled at 6 Torostay and they had five children.
Kenneth died of Heart Failure and Influenza, aged 79
