Ailean Iain Ruairidh
Allan (1890-1975) was a son of John Finlayson and Catherine Macfarlane, 8 Marvig.
He was working in Patagonia, came home to enlist and served as Private S/6950, in the Seaforth Highlanders during the First World War in France. Allan was gassed at the Battle of Loos in 1915 and was wounded in 1918. He is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
In Lochs, in 1929, he married, Isabella Finlayson, 6 Lemreway. Allan and Isabella settled on Marvig Common.
Allan was a builder.
