62338: Murdo Mackenzie
Murdo Mackenzie (born 1881) was a son of James Mackenzie and Christina Murray, 12 Marvig.
At Fraserburgh, in 1909, he married Jane Ann Nicolson, 22 Gravir. Murdo and Jane Ann settled at 1 Marvig and they had four children.
Murdo served in the 2nd Batallion of the Seaforth Highlanders in the First World War. He was wounded and dishcharged in 1915 and is mentioned in Loyal Lewis.
He was widowed in 1917 and at Stornoway, in 1929, he married Bell Ann Finlayson, 10 Calbost. Murdo and Bell Ann remained at 1 Marvig and they had six children.
