Roderick (1876-1949) was a son of Roderick Mackinnon and Catherine Macdonald, 4 Caverstay.
In Lochs, in 1904, he married Catherine Macleod, 13 Cromore. Roderick and Catherine settled Glen House, Caverstay Common and they had three children.
Roderick was widowed in 1913 and in 1919 at Caverstay married Donaldina Mackinnon, 1 Caverstay. Roderick and Donaldina had two sons.
He served in the Royal Naval Reserve in the First World War and his name is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour1914-18.
