61654: Malcolm John Mackay

Malcolm John (1911-1940) was a son of Donald Mackay and Isabella Macarthur who relocated from 4 Crulivig to 3 Garynahine. Malcolm served with the Royal Naval Reserve during the Secon World War and was lost when HMS River Clyde was sunk by a mine off Aldeburgh, Suffolk in August 1940.

He was eulogised by his uncle Angus Mackay in his poem Marbhrann do Chalum Iain MacAoidh.
