Roderick (1815-1885) was a son of Angus Campbell and Mary Macarthur, 11 Marvig.
In Lochs, in 1838, he married Effie Macleod, 14 Old Orinsay. Roderick and Effie settled at 2 Old Steimreway where eight of their ten children were born.
Old Steimreway was cleared in 1857 and the family were removed to 28 Lemreway.
