59812: Thelma Noreen Willett

Noreen Maciver (nee Willett) born 1933 in London. She was evacuated at the beginning of the 2nd World War and stayed in various parts of England until 1945. She got a scholarship to a Public School where her interest in classical music was begun. After school she attended the Guildhall school of Music in London and then sang with various professional groups for several years.

After holidaying in Lewis, she decided to find a house and livelihood in Bernera. She left London in 1967 and came to 1 Croir. The next year she married John G Maciver of 2 Croir and settled there.
