Pàdruig Aonghais Choinnich

Peter (1897-1935) was a son of Angus Chisholm and Isabella Macleod, 8 Lemreway.

He enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve Service Number A8849 on January 7, 1916 for the period of War only. His record indicates that he was 5 ft 7½ in tall with blue eyes and a fair complexion. Peter was immediately Mobilised and served in the Royal Navy in the First War World based at HMS Pembroke and aboard HMS Hearty, HMS Thalia, HMS Nairn and RFA Francol. He was awarded £11.5/- in Prize Money and his name is mentioned in  Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-18.

Peter was one of the land raiders at Steimreway.  He was a bachelor and  died in Stornoway aged 39.
