John (born 1877) was a son of Donald Macleod and Catherine Macleod, 4 Garyvard.
By 1891 the family had moved to 6 Lemreway.
In Partick, in 1906, he married Marion Mackay, 8 James Street, Whiteinch, Glasgow. At that time he was living with Marion's family.
John and Marion settled at 991 Dumbarton Road, Glasgow and they had a son, Ian.
The family later emigrated to Australia.
John's brother, Donald, married Marion's sister, Williamina and they also emigrated to Australia.
