Donald, born 1885, was a son of Donald and Rachael nee Macdonald who relocated from Croir to 12 Hacklete in 1880. During WW1 he served with the R.N.R.

He was married to Effie nee Macleod from Point; they lived in Bernera for a few years (their first two children Angus b 30-10-1911 and Chirsty Maggie b 26-11-1913 were born in Hacklete). They later moved to Bayble, Point.
