Donald Macdonald

Donald (1830-1890) was a son of John Macdonald and Margaret Macdonald, 23 Tobson. Donald married Christina Macaulay of 25 Tobson and settled at her family croft; they raised four children.

At the time of the Bernera Riot Donald was responsible for rousing the people of Bernera to march on Stornoway, where Angus Macdonald was held prisoner for his part in the fracas.
