Margaret Macleod (1798-1873) was a daughter of Alexander Macleod and Christina Mackenzie, 11 Cromore.
In Lochs, in 1832, she married widower Donald Martin, 7 Old Orinsay. The family were removed as cottars to Steimreway in 1843 and when Steimreway was cleared in 1857 they moved to 2 Lemreway.
Margaret was widowed in 1863 and a small croft was made for her at 15 Lemreway. Later she was a Cottar at 8 Lemreway.
