54172: Malcolm Macaulay

Malcolm, born c1831, was the eldest child – and only son – of Donald and Christina nee Macmillan, Valasay. At the time of the Bernera Riot Malcolm was the township constable and testified for the prosecution at the trial.

Neither Malcolm nor his five sisters married or had issue so they adopted Chirsty Mackay from Achmore who later assumed tenancy of the croft.
