Donald Macdonald (1839-1877) was a son of Murdo Macdonald and Annabella Macritchie, Cottars at 8 Old Orinsay.
Orinsay was cleared in 1843 and the family were removed to 22 Crossbost.
In Lochs, in 1867, he married Isabella Mackenzie, 4 Crossbost. Donald and Isabella settled at 29 Crossbost and they had three children.
