53822: Roderick Mackenzie
Roderick Mackenzie (1835-1912) was a son of Donald Mackenzie and Christina Kennedy, 1 Old Orinsay.
The family were removed to 19 Crossbost in 1843 when the land was cleared to make way for the Pairc sheep farm.
At Wick, in 1876, he married Catharine Macdonald, 8 Old Orinsay. Roderick and Catharine settled at 19b Crossbost and they had two children.
Roderick was widowed in 1880 and married Ann Morrison, 18 Lemreway in Lochs, in 1882. The couple remained at 19b Crossbost and they had two children.
Roderick was widowed again in 1902.
