53087: Murdo Matheson

Murdoch born c1853 was a son of John and Ann nee Maclean who lived in Reef, Uig, before being cleared and relocated to High Borve. The family emigrated c1863 to Huron County, Ontario.

He was married in Ripley, Ontario on February 24, 1881 to Catherine MacLeod; with issue. They lived in Ripley, Ontario before settling in Southampton, where Murdoch and his sons worked as commercial fishermen.

Murdoch Matheson……was a man of few words and was known by his sons as "The Puzzle" because he typically kept his own counsel on most matters. He was fond of dogs, and always had one as a pet and companion.
