In Glasgow, in 1927, she married Lewis John Macrae, 8 Habost. Flora and Lewis John lived at 67 Elderslie Street, Glasgow and adopted a daughter, Isobel Margaret.
Flora was widowed in 1957 when Lewis John was tragically killed while serving on a merchant ship.
