Margaret Macleod (1834-1918) was a daughter of John Macleod and Catherine Macdonald, 4 Old Orinsay.

Orinsay was cleared in 1843 and the family were removed to 48 Leurbost.

In Lochs, in 1863, she married John Macritchie, 21 Gravir. Margaret and John were Cottars at 21 Gravir and they had six children.

Margaret’s brother John married John’s sister Isabella.

Margaret was widowed in 1874 and returned to 48 Leurbost with the children.
