Norman, born 1830, was a son of Donald and Catherine nee Macleod, 14 Old Carnish. He emigrated to Quebec and settled in Winslow with his wife Isabella nee Maclennan - an emigrant from Valtos, Uig. They had three children; Catherine b1858, Christina b1861 and Mary b1863

After Isabella's death he next married Margaret Macfarlane (1837-1916) with issue; Murdo b1866, Alexander b1868, Sophia b1870, Annie b1874, Angus b1876 and Norman b1880.
