Alexander Macdonald (born 1822) a son of John Macdonald and Margaret Mackenzie, 7 Garyvard.

In the 1841 & 1851 Census he is listed as a Pauper and Impotent Poor which means he was unable to work through infirmity or disability. Alexander was a bachelor and had been ill for six months before his death of unknown cause.
