Mary Ann Macleod (born 1881) was a daughter of John Macleod and Margaret Macmillan, 6 Garyvard.

In Lochs, in 1906 she married Louis Mackinnon, 4 Caverstay. Mary Ann and Louis settled at 6 Garyvard where they had seven of their eight children,

The family emigrated to Australia in 1923.  Torquil, the youngest son, was born in Australia.  

Joan, the eldest child visited the Isle of Lewis in 1982 and was able to converse fluently in Gaelic.
