Màiri Iain Alasdair
Mary (1877-1929) was a daughter of John Macleod and Ann Macrae, 4 Garyvard.
In Lochs, in 1909, she married Murdo Macleod, 3 Marvig. The couple had two children, Roderick (1909) and Mary Ann (1911). In 1912 the family emigrated to Canada arriving at St John, New Brunswick. They moved to Calgary, Alberta where the couple had Ann (1912), Unkown child (1914) and John (1915). By the time Christina (1915) and Kenneth Alexander (1919) were born the family were back in Lewis.
In 1921 the family were all living at 4 Garyvard and on 2nd June 1923 Murdo returned to Canada. Mary and the children returned on May 17, 1924 they sailed on the SS Canada from Stornoway to Quebec. In 1926 they were all living in Calgary, Alberta.
The couple were living at 2502 16th Street, South West, Calgary in 1929.
